Food: How an NGO is helping in the battle against hunger

In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, many social organizations and NGOs have come forward to provide food to daily wage workers, the homeless, and others affected by Covid.

Some NGOs distributed flour and other items to the homeless people in Dholpur on Friday 09-07-2021. The ISCI Foundation distributed around 50 grocery packets to the people in the last two days.

The volunteers reached out to the people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, especially the daily wage laborers, and provided them food. On Friday afternoon, volunteers of the ISCI Foundation provided food items to the people living in the slums around RIICO in Dholpur.

Volunteers are taking necessary hygiene precautions by wearing gloves and face masks and using hand sanitizers during food distribution.

“We feel that as human beings, it is our responsibility to help the most vulnerable among us in their time of need. We appeal to all citizens of Dholpur to join our efforts”, said Siddharth Modi and Karthik Modi, Dholpur volunteers of ISCI Foundation.
